6. Shopper Administration
By this stage you will have completed your on-line application to join HOED Mystery Shopping as well as having answered the questions concerning your personal information. Rest assurred that we apply the strictest of controls on your personal information and we comply with all privacy legislation. In this section you will find information concerning the administration of our Shoppers.
Your User Name (Shopper Number)
Your User Name is your personal identity at HOED. Unless a Shopper has changed their pre-existing HOED Shopper Number then the Shopper Number remains as the User Name. Remember your User Name / Shopper Number, as you will record it on your Assignments and always quote in all emails.
Your Shopper Status (This is not yet applicable it will be announced and implemented in the coming months)
All Shoppers commence with HOED as Blue level shoppers, this is entry level and is acquired once you have completed your induction training and you have satisfactorily completed your first job. Those shoppers who have an interest in completing a substantial number of assignments and want to attract more work can do so by achieving a certification to either Silver or Gold Shopper. The advantages of achieving this certification include:
- Being offered more rewarding assignments involving travel and other leisure activities.
- Higher
number of jobs available/offerred to you.
- Participation in the companies quarterly reward program for Silver and Gold certified Shoppers.
How do I get Silver and Gold Qualification?
You will be offered the qualification once the following are achieved:
- A
minimum number of assignments completed on time during a calender year,
total vs % attempted?

An assessment conducted quarterly by the Field Operations Manager that your
interaction with office staff are timely and helpful
- The %
of surveys completed correctly ie on time and the accuracy is 98% or better.
- Your demographic information is kept up to date in the HOED Shopper database.
Banking
Details, Statement by Supplier and the Training Declaration
You must print, complete and sign your Training Declaration, the Statement by a Supplier and the Bank Account Details forms and return them to HOED. These documents details the conditions of engagement and supplies your banking information so we can pay you for your Mystery Shopping work into your nominated account.
These forms can be mailed, faxed or scanned into an email and sent to HOED. Until we receive these completed forms we cannot AUTHORISE you to undertake Assignments so please get these documents back too us as quickly as possible.
Changing your contact details and other personal information
If you need to change any of your personal information you can do so yourself on-line at a convenient time. Section 3 of the SME Shopper Portal User Manual gives details on how to do it.
If you are moving it is not necessary to withdraw from the Mystery Shopping program, you may be able to continue Mystery Shopping in your new location. Just update the details in the Job Profile section on your home page of the HOED Shopper Portal.
Holidays and leave
Please notify us by going on-line and updating those periods that you are unavailable to do Assignments in the Job Profile section on your home page of the SME Shopper Portal.
Shopper Documentation
The Shopper documentation that forms part of the conditions of engagement comprises:
Training Declaration,
Bank Account Details, and the
Statement by Supplier.
